Privacy Policy

This document outlines our commitment to your privacy and details how we handle data on the Abyrint Connect platform (connect.abyrint.com).

User Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to all registered users of the Abyrint Connect platform. Your access to the platform is granted based on a service agreement between your organization and Abyrint AS, or as a direct employee of Abyrint AS.

Information We Collect & Use

We are committed to minimizing data collection. We store your email address, which is necessary for account creation, login, and essential communications. The IP address is stored when you open a session and is retained for some time after you close the session. We are also required to send you warnings of potential security breaches, and this is how we can detect for example “you have not logged in from this location before” messages. This information is deleted automatically, on a rotation schedule, after some weeks or months. The IP address of where you register highly sensitive information, such as setting FIDO keys, is persisted and visible to you in the user interface.

Upon registration, the system generates a unique, anonymous user ID for your account. All data products, entries, and contributions you make on the platform are associated with this anonymous ID, not your email address or name.

Data Retention & Deletion Policy

Our data retention rules are designed to protect both your privacy and your organization’s operational continuity.

  • Upon Account Closure: When your account is de-provisioned, your email address is permanently deleted from our production systems. Associated session id references and IP addresses are also deleted.

  • Company & Team Workspaces: To ensure business continuity for your organization, any contributions you have made to shared workspaces are retained. These contributions will remain associated with your anonymous user ID.

  • Personal Workspace: Any files and data stored in your Personal Workspace are considered personal. This data is permanently and irrecoverably deleted when your user account is closed.

Data Residency & Infrastructure

All platform and client data is stored exclusively within the European Union. Our primary data centers are located in Germany, Finland, or France.

We partner with leading European providers for our infrastructure. Our secure facilities are managed by:

Data Sharing & Data Controller

Abyrint AS is the sole data controller. We do not share, sell, or rent your data to any third parties.

For essential system communications, such as password resets or security alerts, we use Scaleway’s transactional email service, which processes this information in France. No data besides your email address is used for this function.

Tracing

There is no tracking of personal information when browsing any of Abyrint Connect webpages. We do use a page counter just to show us what pages are being accessed and if there are errors. This technology and data are managed solely by our company and does not store any personal information.

Advanced Integrations

The platform uses certain advanced integrations. We can read more about these in the Security sections that detail network, storage, and encryption. Furthermore, some features use artificial intelligence:

  • Abyrint-operated AI: Features for e.g pre-processing of data, reading data from pdfs or images, indexing and searching content are operated solely by Abyrint; data is not shared.
  • Third-party AI services: Certain features like generating forms, templates, database analytics, and more makes use of AI models operated by Mistral, OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic. Your personal data is never shared with these services other than the prompts you write. Please refrain from entering personal information into such feature sections. Usage is optional and not required for core functionality.

Under no circumstance is any detailed data—for example, submissions for your customers or projects—shared with these AI services. They will only see metadata, such as column headers, and not the actual data. All queries to external AI infrastructure services are anonymized and made on behalf of connect.abyrint.com and do not include any personal metadata or identifiers from your account.

Personal Data in Project or Workspace Context

There is a common use case for collecting and managing personal, sensitive, and confidential data as data products in the various apps on the platform. In cases where your customers request such information, or request that data be deleted, please refer to the advanced documentation. Both manual and automated procedures for handling such requests are available. The platform is designed to manage personal, sensitive, and confidential data with a very high level of security.
